Mila has been practicing bodywork since 2009. It all began with a casual Reiki class which invited her to start the journey of deep listening of her own body. Then, enrollment into massage school followed shortly after.
After graduating the San Francisco School of Massage (Institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and serving since 1969) in 2010, she first started working as a massage practitioner at the chiropractic and massage center in San Francisco and then moved to a private practice in the city in 2017.
In 2013-2014, Mila received extensive Neuro muscular rehabilitation training (NMR). In 2014, Mila was hired by the developer of the method and began working at the center Healus in Mill Valley seeing clients with various muscular skeletal issues until 2020.
In 2017, while still working as a massage therapist, she took her intuitive skills to a whole new level by enrolling in a two year certification program at the Academy of Intuition Medicine in Sausalito designed to teach the invaluable tools of grounding energy healing on self and others by the use of meditation. While Mila no longer actively practices energy healing (by preferring evidence-based approach in bodywork), the Academy training enabled her to find the sweet spot of stillness and center within herself and she brings that to her sessions.
From 2021 till current time, Mila has been in school part time—pursuing a degree in Psychology. A former severe anxiety, depression, and panic attack sufferer, it is Mila`s passion to help other human beings overcome the tight grip of mental health issues as she was able to accomplish with life style changes, breathwork, and regular therapy.
In 2022, Mila completed training to become Breathwork Instructor, taught by clinical psychologist and breathwork expert Dr Vranich. It resulted in infusing her bodywork sessions with breathwork techniques aimed at restoring biomechanically sound breathing patterns and helping her clients with anxiety, mental and muscular stress.
For a few years now, Mila has been sharing tips on wellness topics on her Instagram at breath.for.health.
Mila's continuing training in manual lymphatic work is from the premier provider of Lymphedema Education in North America since 1994 — Academy of Lymphatic Studies. Lymphatic system, being so vast and complicated, requires in depth training and education.
Mila is a serious traveler (35 countries and counting), She loves nature, being kind to oneself and fellow humans, critical thinking, sunshine, and healthy conscious living.
